Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang
Arrive at Luang Prabang International Airport (LPQ).
Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.
Assemble and test your bike with a short, easy ride around the UNESCO World Heritage town.
Enjoy a welcome dinner and overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
Day 2: Luang Prabang City & Kuang Si Waterfall (Approx. 60 km)
Morning exploration of Luang Prabang’s temples, including the oldest, Wat Sene, and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong.
Cycle to the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfall. The ride is on a paved road, passing through local villages.
Enjoy a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools of the waterfall and visit the nearby Bear Rescue Center.
Transfer back to Luang Prabang for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Luang Prabang to Phou Khoun (Approx. 135 km)
This is one of the most challenging days, with significant climbs on Highway 13.
Cycle south from Luang Prabang, climbing a hilly road with stunning views.
Stop for lunch and visit a local Hmong tribe village.
Continue on undulating roads to the town of Phou Khoun for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Phou Khoun to Kasi (Approx. 125 km)
After the previous day’s climb, today’s ride is easier, with more downhill sections.
Cycle through beautiful countryside, descending to the town of Kasi.
Enjoy a lunch break in Kasi before continuing to your guesthouse.
Dinner and overnight stay in Kasi.
Day 5: Kasi to Vang Vieng (Approx. 45-60 km)
Cycle on a predominantly flat road, with a mix of hilly and scenic stretches, to the famous limestone karst region of Vang Vieng.
Arrive in Vang Vieng and have time to relax by the Nam Song River.
Dinner and overnight in Vang Vieng.
Day 6: Exploring Vang Vieng (Rest Day or Short Ride)
This is a day to explore the natural wonders of Vang Vieng.
You can choose to rest or take a shorter cycling trip (approx. 20 km) to visit highlights like the Tham Chang Cave and the Blue Lagoon.
Other options include kayaking or tubing on the Nam Song River.
Dinner and overnight stay in Vang Vieng.
Day 7: Vang Vieng to Nam Ngum Lake (Approx. 95 km)
Today’s ride is relatively easy, on a flat, main road.
Pass through rural areas and a local fish market.
Continue riding to the Nam Ngum dam and lake.
Dinner and overnight stay at a guesthouse or camp near the lake.
Day 8: Nam Ngum Lake to Vientiane (Approx. 60-70 km)
Enjoy a morning ride along the Nam Ngum River on local roads.
Visit the Laos conservation trust for wildlife and continue towards Vientiane.
The final stage is on a mostly flat road to the capital city.
Check into your hotel in Vientiane for a celebratory dinner.
Day 9: Vientiane City Tour (Approx. 30 km)
Enjoy a relaxing day of sightseeing by bike in Vientiane.
Visit the city’s landmarks, including the oldest temple, Wat Si Saket, and the former royal temple, Wat Prakeo.
Ride to the iconic That Luang Stupa, the national symbol of Laos, and the Patuxay Monument (Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe).
In the afternoon, you can cycle to the Buddha Park, a sculpture park filled with Buddhist and Hindu statues.
Return to the hotel for a farewell dinner and bike packing.
Day 10: Departure from Vientiane
Enjoy breakfast and some free time until your transfer to Wattay International Airport (VTE) for your departure.
