Day 1: Luang Prabang Unesco Cycling (L/Cycle 20km/4 star resort)
Your adventure begins with a gentle ride through the enchanting streets of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We’ll pedal along the Mekong River, explore historic temples, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of this beautifully preserved town, settling into our comfortable 4-star resort in the evening.
Day 2: Luang Prabang – Kuangsi Waterfalls (B, L/Cycle 30km/4 star resort)
Today we cycle south through lush countryside and local villages to the spectacular Kuang Si Waterfalls. The route is a scenic delight, culminating in the breathtaking three-tiered cascade. Take time to swim in the turquoise pools or visit the nearby sun bear sanctuary before we return to Luang Prabang.
Day 3: Luang Prabang – Phou Khoun (B, L, D/Cycle 42km/basic guesthouse)
The challenge and adventure intensify as we head into the mountains. Today’s ride involves significant climbing, rewarding us with panoramic views of the rugged Lao highlands. The experience is truly authentic as we stay overnight in a basic local guesthouse in Phou Khoun, sharing a meal and stories of the road.
Day 4: Phou Koun – Plain Of Jars (B, L, D/Cycle 50km/4 star resort)
After conquering the mountains, we ride towards another of Laos’s great wonders: the Plain of Jars. We’ll cycle a beautiful stretch of road before exploring Site 1 of this mysterious archaeological landscape, dotted with thousands of ancient stone jars of unknown origin. Tonight, we relax in the comfort of a 4-star resort.
Day 5: Plain Of Jars – Vang Vieng (B, L, D/Cycle 60km/3 star resort)
Prepare for a visually stunning day as we journey towards Vang Vieng. The ride takes us through a landscape dominated by incredible limestone karst formations rising from the plains. Our destination is the famed adventure town of Vang Vieng, nestled on the banks of the Nam Song River.
Day 6: Vang Vieng – Nam Ngum (B, L, D/Cycle 50km/4 star resort)
Leaving the karsts behind, we cycle a scenic route towards the largest lake in Laos, Nam Ngum. This vast, man-made reservoir is a serene expanse of water dotted with small islands. Day 7: Nam Ngum – Vientiane (B, L, D/Cycle 50km)
On our final day, we complete the last leg of our journey to the nation’s capital, Vientiane. This relatively flat ride is a fantastic way to conclude the tour, cycling all the way to the finish line. We’ll celebrate our incredible week-long achievement with a farewell dinner.
